"Troostite" Willemite Crystals in Calcite, Ogdensburg, NJ

Description

An attractive cluster of brown "troostite" willemite crystals on a calcite matrix. There are a few small black franklinite crystals as well. The willemite is fluorescent green under shortwave UV and the calcite is fluorescent red. The large crystal measures about 15 mm x 10 mm. From the Sterling Hill Mine, Ogdensburg, NJ. Photos 1-4 are shortwave UV and photos 5 & 6 are longwave UV. Size: 3" x 2-1/4" x 1". Weight is 9 oz. or 250 grams.
