WWI/WWI BRITISH 8-PLACE MINIATURE MEDAL BAR

Description

This is a very nice British World War I and II 8 – Place Miniature Medal bar that remains in excellent condition. It consists of the World War I 1914-15 Star, the World War I 1914-1918 War Medal, the World War I Victory Medal, the World War II 1939-1945 Star, the World War II Atlantic Star, the World War II Africa Star, the World War II 1939-1945 War Medal, and the World War II 1939-1945 Defence Medal. The bar measures 5 inches I length and is with a functional swing pin and open catch. The ribbons are lightly toned from age but remain solid and without fraying. All the planchets are beautifully struck and exhibit fine detail. From this medal combination, it is probable that this bar was worn by a long service naval seaman who saw action in both World Wars. Mounted as worn.
