This is a late WW2 medal. This medal was established on February 12, 1890 and was awarded exclusively to the military for leadership, bravery and / or command in battle. The Golden Kite 7 could be awarded to enlisted rank soldiers.
    The medal features a Golden Kite on top holding a sword descending straight down with two crossed swords beneath. The reverse of the medal has no markings.
