    Description

    Willemite fluorescent mineral, Sterling Hill Mine near Franklin NJ.  Large hand-sized, clean specimen of brown “troostite” willemite in a calcite matrix, with franklinite.  Features at least one rounded “reformed” willemite crystal that looks more pistachio green than brown! Fluoresces green and red in shortwave UV light, and phosphorescent.  Green, and red, and the calcite features some blue fluorescence in longwave UV.


    Big cabinet specimen, measures 6 inches x 3 x 3 inches, and weighs 3 pounds 9 ounces.
