    I basically do not clean vintage items.  Most items come from estates, or have been in storage.  I recommend cleaning by hand washing, some items may be cleaned in the washer as polyester fabric is easy to clean.  Gowns will need professional cleaning.  Vintage items will come with some flaws due to age, however most lovers of vintage clothing are aware of this and choose the item with care.  Any questionable concerns are mentioned in the description.
