    Description

    Up for bid is a CALEGARO Italy silverplate snifter-form footed bowl with a hammered surface.
    The piece is about 5 ½ inches in diameter and 5 3/8 inches tall.
    It is formed like a brandy snifter with a high domed foot and a hammered-look surface.
    The interior is gilded.
    The piece is stamped with a “D” and [FC] in an oval at the rim.
    It is marked “HAND FINISHED / ITALY / CALEGARO” on the foot.


    Condition on the piece is quite good.
    There is a small dent in the rim as shown, but otherwise few signs of use.
    A nice serving piece.
