Description
This is a charming hand hammered antique sterling silver cream
pitcher by Shiebler in the form of lettuce leaves complete with a hungry beetle. The creamer has an
applied three dimensional copper beetle and engraved over the hammering
with the veining of the repousse leaves. Circa 1880.
Very good condition with a lightly gold washed interior. Marked with the
Shiebler wings, "sterling", and "396". Height 3 1/8" to top of handle, 2 7/8 to rim. Weight 70 grams, 2.25 troy oz.
