    Allan was born Bradford, Yorkshire. Mother Mary address is in the file 1 Miller Terrace, Camp Road, ross-On-Wye.
    Served first in the 3/3 Mons Regiment from Aug-1915.
    Wounded by shrapnel in left leg 20-Aug-1917 in France.
    Posted to labour Corps 12-Sep-1917(?).
    Arriving England Nov-1917. Admitted Notts. County War Hospital 13-Mar-1918 with mental disorder (Exhaustion psychosis?). Noted in the report that he was under heavy shell fire.
    Served then 672nd Company, Labour Corps, and new service number 370779. Discharged 8-Oct-1918 being no longer physically fit for military service.
