    Mahogany sphalerite fluorescent mineral, Sterling Hill Mine near Franklin NJ.  Large hand-sized specimen with an exposed mahogany sphalerite vein / face, on willemite / calcite / franklinite ore.  Fluoresces green and orange in shortwave UV; in longwave UV the sphalerite fluoresces bright orange, the willemite green.


    Big cabinet specimen, measures 5 1/4 inches x 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches, and weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces.
