Item Details
The Gene Cafe CBR-101 has established itself as an excellent roaster, capable of producing about half of a pound of uniformly roasted coffee. Its unique, vortex twisting, off-axis chamber rotation assures even heat distribution to the green coffee during roasting. The average Full City roast takes about 15 minutes (plus cooling), but you can roast anywhere from 1 to 23 minutes using the machine controls. Users can activate the cooling cycle at any time, and roast progress can be seen through the glass roasting chamber. The roaster comes in two colors: black, as is seen in the first photo, and red, as can be seen in the second. Both operate exactly the same.
The Gene Cafe features a simple control panel; two knobs and a digital display. Press the "TIME" knob to turn the roaster on - it will automatically go through a 10 second startup procedure. The default roasting time is 15 minutes, but turning the knob will  increase or decrease the roasting time.
Users can set the target roasting temperature by rotating the "TEMP" knob, and activate a roast by pressing it. During the roasting cycle this knob can be rotated to increase or decrease the target temperature. The Gene Cafe will automatically go into cooling mode at the end of the roast, however users can enter the cooling cycle beforehand by pressing the "TEMP" knob again.
The digital display has two modes for time and temperature. The temperature display alternates between target and actual temperatures in whole degrees, and the time display rotates between total time and remaining time (on the roast) in tenths of a minute.

Returns
