Fluorescent mineral rock Franklin Blue Fluorescing Calcite McLaughlin H11

$ 15.3

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

From the Gerry McLaughlin collection comes this Franklin calcite with a nice bonus fluorescence!
Along with the usual red shortwave response (photos # 5 and 6), this calcite fluorescens a lavender blue under longwave UV light!
This is a type of Franklin calcite known as “Blue Fluorescing Calcite”.
Also contains minor willemite.
This is a rock weighing 3.3 ounces (95 g), and measuring approximately 2.25 inches X 1.75 inches X 1.50 inches (5.6 cm X 4.2 cm X 3.6 cm).
UV Photos #1, 3, and 5-8 are shown in Longwave UV with the Convoy 365nm UV flashlight, while Photos #2 and 4 are in Shortwave UV.
Shows great in Midwave too!
For a Longwave lamp, I recommend you check out the Convoy 365nm UV lamp.  The Convoy 365nm lamp puts all far more expensive Longwave lamps to shame time and again.
These are available for only about direct from China on eBay.
WE BUY OLD FRANKLIN AND STERLING HILL COLLECTIONS, INCLUDING “BASEMENT ROCK BOXES”!
NOTE: Typical Blacklight UV lights may not display any color.
Also, the intensity of the color will vary depending on the strength of the lamp you have.
For a good quality Shortwave lamp at a reasonable price, I suggest you consider the DRK lamp by Engenious Designs or the SuperBright III.  These manufacturers sell these lamps directly to you (and they are not related to me in any way, and I do not sell these lamps.)
I have set the shipping as First-Class Mail.
If you plan on bidding on MORE than one rock, let me know BEFORE you pay your invoice, so I may combine shipping to save you money.
I can often combine five or six rocks in one box.
If you pay first, I must ship immediately and cannot offer combined shipping rates.
**NOTE:
I cannot combine shipping on International orders.**
