Description

"Golden" Selenite
Very rare specimen from the long closed Lily Mine.
Renown
in its day for the high grade Golden Selenite crystals found there. Beautiful under natural light or Short wave - Longwave ultraviolet (SW/LW-UV) light. Light colored "Golden" Selenite crystals from the Lily Mine are distinctive from honey colored Selenites found at other locations. Selenite crystals are monoclinic but when twinned exhibit a swallowtail on crystal ends. Very attractive visually and super bright under any UV wavelength. Wonderful addition to a fluorescent cabinet. Shown here with alternating UV photos first under LW-UV, then under SW-UV.
This specimen is from the Lily (Lilly) Mine, Pisco Umay, Region Inca, Peru.

Graham has stolen 2 thousand pounds of fluorescent rock from me and I advise fluorescent rock collectors to avoid him in Tucson. He spins a good story but that is all it is a story. For more details contact me directly.

Please pay within four (4) days unless other

Due to recent changes at Ebay, it is now necessary for me to ship purchases within one business day of receiving payment. I will often ship the same day if payment is made sufficiently early. Please, if you want to combine shipping with subsequent purchases,
do not pay
until I invoice you with the correct discounted combined shipping. Just let me know when you are ready for the invoice.
If you pay, I have no choice but to ship
.
I will hold an "open box" for up to 14 days allowing you the opportunity to add items to one box and thereby minimizing shipping charges. But only if you contact me first.
International shipping is not cheap and PayPal adds to the problem by charging a higher percentage for international transactions. Ebay also charges a commission on the shipping paid for both international and domestic purchases. I charge you what it costs me - I do not profit from shipping. Once I mail or ship a package, the time in route or
ANY
damage to specimen(s) is out of my control. I do pack all specimens using the latest techniques and care.
If you are not happy with an item, please
contact me first
before leaving feedback or opening a case. I will make it right.
