    Description

English Sterling Silver George III Rocco Cream Pitcher Marked W.I c1760 -1
Presented is stylish detailed English Sterling Silver creamer pitcher hallmarked for silver made in 1760-1.  I believe this item to have been made by William Justus; please see photos above of my research on these marks in the pictures above. This beautiful hand crafted piece has a great angled spout and interesting arched handle with a delicate appearing scrolling leaf thumb and dramatic Rocco floral designs around the basin all resting on three lion paw feet. This is an outstanding example of antique English silver from the height of decorous empire. It has a great monogram on the front of B.W.L in period block lettering in a cameo setting and has only a few minor dings in the bottom of basin and some fine scratches from gentle use and care. This is an excellent piece of hand craftsmanship for the silver collector and a great addition to the best and most eloquent of tea sets.
I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions.
