    Description

    Two nice examples of a small bore exploratory drill core sample with snow white Calcite (SW/UV red)
    and light gray Dolomite.  Sample core drilling was used to determine the direction of the mining to intercept the primary ore body.
    From the Sterling Hill Zinc Mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, New Jersey.
    Two small cabinet size specimens - 2.3 inches long by 0.8 inches in diameter  - 2.5 ounces
    and - 2.7 inches long by 0.8 inches in diameter - 3.2 ounces
    * All specimens come with a complete identification label.
    Must be viewed with a short wave ( 254 nm ) ultraviolet lamp.
    Pictures taken with a 12 MP camera and a 9 watt Way Too Cool short wave UV lamp.
