Derby Figural Dragon Footed Bowl 1887 Antique Silverplate Impressive

Description

We are pleased to offer a fabulous silverplated bowl from Derby Silver Co.  The piece is decorated with 2 figural dragons and embossing on the body made to look like rippling water.  It has beaded detail on the rim and sits on ball feet.
It is a fabulous example of Gothic styling and will make an impressive display piece anywhere in your home.
Condition:
Very good to excellent - minor wear in the bottom of the bowl and at the base of each dragon (see photos);  otherwise no silver wear or loss, heel wear or shadows.  There are no monograms and the pattern is crisp and well defined.  It has been hand polished so there will be no surprises.
Size:
5" tall, 7 1/2" diameter at the opening.  It is stamped:  Pat Sept 6th 1887 on the bottom.
