COOL FLUORESCENT CERUSSITE on GALENA: MIBLADEN, MIDELT, MOROCCO - NR!

Description

From the world famous mines of Mibladen, Morocco comes this interesting miniature sized specimen composed of lustrous cerussite crystals growing on a bed of galena crystals on minor tan calcitic limestone matrix with the cerussite crystals well defined, undamaged and reaching 1.1 cm in maximum diameter.

crystals fluorescing
a
rich cream-yellow.  The last two photo's depict the fluorescent response under UV light and were taken under a 26 watt shortwave ultraviolet lamp.  The calcitic limestone base is also nicely fluorescent an orange red and the cerussite a light cream yellow, pretty cool fluorescent response for you UV collectors out there!  It measures 3.9 x 2.4 x 1.4 cm in size, weighs 24 grams, and comes professionally labeled and ready for immediate display.
