    Description

This calcite crystal is from the Challenger Cave Mine area near Monterrey, Mexico.  Some sellers have referred to these specimens as "Terlingua type" because they display similar fluorescence to the Terlingua, TX calcite in three wave lengths.
Under long wave lamp it glows a beautiful
    pink color
    (photos #1 & 4); and
    under short wave it glows
    blue
    (photos #2 & 5)
    .  The crystal glows with
    spectacular phosphorescence
after the SW lamp is turned off, and so this trait is quite easy to photograph (#3).
Under mid wave lamp the crystal glows a duller
    white
    (not shown).
In daylight the crystal has a pink tint, with a glassy luster on all 6 faces (photos #6 & 7).  Note: The specimen sustained some minor damage when it was mined, as can be seen in the daylight photos.
    Weighs 6.6 oz. & measures 1.875 x 1.75 x 1.375 inches (#CCC-45).
