    Description

    Auction for vintage WW1 Great Britain lot of two medals, 1914-15 Star and Victory Medal along with photocopies of service records to Royal Navy Leading Telegrapher Edward Levene. Whereabouts of this WW1 War Medal are unknown. He also served in WW2 and the whereabouts of his WW2 Medals are unknown. Interesting group to a two war veteran.
    1. WW1 1914-15 Star impress J. 638. E. Levene. L. Tel. R.N.
    2. WW1 Victory Medal impressed J. 638 E. Levene P.O. Telegrapher. RN.
    3. Two pages of photocopied records from WW1 and WW2. Born in 1892 Levene joined in 1910 at age 12. He served in numerous assignments as a telegrapher. It looks like he retired in 1932 but was either recalled or volunteered for service in 1939 serving through 1941 before leaving the service a final time. He was invalided out of service in 1945.
