    Description

    British WW1 1914-18 Medal Pair to Paxton, Royal Navy, was sunk on HMS Snaefell
    K.37694 E. J. Paxton. Sto.1 R.N. Ernest James Paxton was born in Acton, Middlesex, on 29 January 1878 and joined the Royal Navy for service during the Great War. He served in H.M.S. Snaefell (Torpedoed 5th June 1918 and sunk in Med. with Paxton aboard, 8 casualties) and H.M.S. Kildare, and was advanced Stoker First Class on 17 March 1918. He was shore released on 19 January 1919.
