    Description

    Welcome.
WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT THEM: These earrings are distinguished by wonderful design aesthetics, beautiful silver work and wonderful natural turquoise, all designed in a compelling simple aesthetically pleasing manner.  These are studio made, all hand crafted in the Arts and aCrafts tradition. They are unsigned but certainly could have been made by one of the truly great artists. I am not sure of the turquoise mine. It was sold to me as Number 8 and I wear them with a wonderful ring and bracelet with Number 8 stones, but it also could other mines, might be Chinese turquoise. I've asked a lot of people and so far nothing definitive. They are an arrestingly gorgeous design, very flattering to wear, and evidencing superb artistry.
CONDITION: excellent vintage, wearable and collectible
    MEASUREMENTS:
    • length top to bottom 2"
    • turquoise diameter 5/8"
    • weight 6.51grams and 6.25grams each total 12.76grams, light on the ears!
    • unsigned and artist is unknown, not marked for silver content but they are sterling silver
SUMMARY:  The Arts and Crafts movement has its roots to as early as the 1800s, and began early 1900s, continuing for many decades, so it's hard to date these definitively but they may go back to mid 1900s or earlier. The important aspect to me is the hand made artistry, the aesthetics, which are simple, elegant, classic, and compelling. They will always be gorgeous! The natural turquoise stones are also fabulous, shaped wonderfully for them and these earrings are so flattering to wear. I wear them with my Number 8 mine jewelry and they are among my favorite pieces.

I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.
