Antique Santo Domingo Turquoise necklace
with turquoise jacla drops c 1920s
Recently restrung as shown in photos so secure for wear and display
Jaclas were originally worn as earrings but in the 20th century
they were worn added to the bottom of necklaces by both Navajo and Pueblo men and women
The natural Nevada turquoise is in countless different shades of blues and greens with copper and iron matrix
and not the "uniform solid sky blue" seen in commercially treated modern turquoise
32" long necklace + 5" jaclas
As worn About 22" from top to bottom (including jaclas)
