    Description

Antique 2 WAY Balanced Draft Non Sweating Adams & Westlake Chicago Adlake Carriage or Railroad lantern lamp Patent June 12 1900 to Aug 13 1907. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Lenses are intact. One red and one clear.  Measures 8 3/4 inches tall.
I believe this lantern is probably meant for turn of the century horse carriage or possibly an early automobile because of the bracket setup and 2 way lens design. It appears to be too small to be a railroad lantern but could have also been used for that purpose. I initially thought the handle piece you carried the lantern by was missing, but there is no place to attach it included into the design so I don't believe it ever came with one.
