PRICE DROPPED! WAS NOW !AIRCRAFT SOLID ALUMINUM RIVETS 100° Countersunk VARIOUS SIZES
The following is a list of the rivets contained in this sale. Each entry represents a single bag of rivets in bags weighing 2 oz each.
There are some bags that weighed more than 2 oz. as well as less than 2 oz. In such cases the weight will be noted to the right of the rivet identification number. Otherwise if no weight is given it is a 2oz bag.
At the bottom of this description I have included the Rivet Codes to aid in identifying the size and length of these rivets. I know it came in incredibly handy for me as this is not my area of expertise.
That being said if you see something worded incorrectly or some sort of goof I made in this listing I truly would appreciate a quick message from you to me informing me of my error. I really do try to be as honest and upfront with what I sell so a written slap upside the head is always welcome by me. Thx!

Rivet Codes
Various codes are used to specify rivet material type, head type, diameter, length and industry specifications. See the information below for anoverview of the codes used for Rivet Identification.
Here is a quick overview of how to identify thedifferent parts of a rivet numbering system:
Example: AN-470-AD-4-8 rivet
1. The first set of letters and numbers refersto the industry specification (military standard):
AN - Whenthese two letters precede numbers, they indicate Army and Navy Specifications.
MS - Whenthese two letters precede numbers, they indicate Military StandardSpecifications.
2. Next, there are three numbers specifying the rivet head style:
470=universalhead, 430= round head, etc.
3. After the style code is a letter code identifying the material oralloy type:
=1100(2S)Aluminum, AD=2117-Aluminum Alloy, F=Corrosion Resistant Steel, etc.
4. The next number is the rivet diameter:
The diameterof a rivet is indicated in 32nds of an inch. 4=4/32" or 1/8",12=12/32" or 3/8", etc.
5. The final number indicates the rivet length
The length ofa rivet is indicated in 16ths of an inch: 8=8/16" or 1/2",10=10/16" or 5/8", etc.
I am not an expert when it comes to rivets but many of the rivets in this sale have an identification number such a
s
MS20426AD-3-4. Following MS is the number 20426. What the 20 represents I do not know. And of the 3-4 websites I looked at no examples were shown with an identification number with the added 20. So as far as I could tell the 20, even though it may be
relevant
somehow, I found it best to ignore the 20 and read the identification number as MS426AD-3-4 and all is just fine then.
