    Description

Huge Dr. Pepper Advertising Vintage Disney on Parade 70s Mickey Texas - 5 and 1/2 feet long! This is a true statement piece and would look great in a home theater or game room.
This is an amazing piece of Disneyana and an incredible piece of Disney history. It is also unusual in that it advertises Dr. Pepper at Disney. As Dr. Pepper fans know, Disney no longer sells Dr Pepper at its parks, so a sign where Disney is actively promoting Dr. Pepper is rare.
This is an enormous sign / banner that was used to advertised Disney on Parade in 1973.  It is a true statement piece and would make a great focal point in any room. This is a unique very rare item, as it was made for a specific place on a specific date. I have not seen anything similar to it for sale on the internet. It is 5 and 1/2 ft long by 32 inches high. The sign was for the Tarrant County Convention Center in Texas.
The sign also notes that Disney on Parade is a NAWAL Production, which was a collaboration between Walt Disney Productions and NBC.
The graphics are beautiful and colors of red, white, and black. The date 73 is surrounded by pink. The font on the sign is very vintage looking, and the bubbles on the word Disney add a bit of style. Mickey is the star of the show with his traditional colors and a top hat.
A sign is on a very thick paper. This sign is in very nice condition for its age. That said, it is almost 50 years old and was used as advertising and most likely was supposed to be thrown away after use. Because of this, it has several condition issues. The sign has been used and has areas where you can see it was hung. There are some staple holes along the edges. On the back there is some remnants of tape and some sort of thicker double stick tape. The sign has some creases on the edges and a few on the interior. The sign has yellowed over the years. It has some brown spotting from age, especially along one side. The sign has been rolled up for many many years, and the exterior of the roll has some darker spots on it.  It  does not lay flat and usually stays rolled up. (The last picture shows it rolled up)  In order to display it, you will have to frame it or put it on a custom frame backing.
I have taken many pictures of the sign, and in many of the pictures I try to point with pencils to some of the yellowing brown spots or the holes on the edges. Please look carefully at the pictures for details of condition. Use the zoom tool if necessary, ask the pictures or an important part of the description.
