You're bidding on a group of 4 different Japanese medals shown in the photos with a uniform medals bar. It also includes a matching uniform ribbon bar (rare) and a military paper (extremely rare). Please take care in examining the photos for the condition of these medals as they're the exact ones you're bidding on. The following medals are included in this lot:Order of the Rising Sun 7: This medal was given to both the military and civilians. This medal was established on April 10, 1875 and was the first national decoration awarded by the Japanese government.
1915-20 Siberia Intervention: This medal was given to those in the Navy who served in the Japanese fleet in the Mediterranean Sea during World War 1 and to military members who participated in the Japanese expedition to Siberia. It was established on November 6, 1915 to commemorate participation in World War 1.
World War 1 Japanese Allied Victory: This medal measures approximately 1.4 inches in diameter. Unlike all the other WW1 Victory medals from other countries, the Japanese Victory medal doesn't feature the goddess "Victory" but instead features Takemikazuchi which is the god of war (thunder and sword) for Japan which makes this medal quite unique from those issued by other countries. The reverse of the medal says "The Great War for Civilization 1914 -1919. A wonderful addition to ant WW1 collection.
Japanese Showa Enthronement: This medal commemorates Emperor Hirohito ascending to the thrown in 1928. The obverse shows the imperial thrown with "Banzai" written below with cherry and orange blossoms around the edges of the medal. The reverse side has "Showa 3 (1928), November, Enthronement Commemorative Medal" written on it.
